The kids and students that arrive to the Grade 10 in Lebanon, begin their struggle to choose the appropriate job for them, and this is so difficult for them, because:
- Their families stress the kids to study and do like their parents.
- The kids want to do another job, but they are not allowed.
- We don't have in Lebanon this kind of guidance to the students about different kinds of jobs.
- Some parents don't allow their kids to go & study in Beirut , where the options are much broader.
- Not all the parents & sometimes students have the knowledge about the different types of jobs and what does distinguish it from others.
All of these causes stress the students, and don't allow him to think clearly about what he wants, and the more he listens to others advises about this topic the more he will feel frustrated, lost and doesn't know more what he wants to do.

I think that parents must guide their children for choosing the right and suitable career. They must not force them or else they will end up miserable. All what they can do is give them advice because they are much wiser and more knowledgeable and have more experience than their children.
ReplyDeletemy thinking is similar to yours, but unfortunately, many parents try at least to force their kids to do like them, sometimes their kids do like they want and regret it after all, sometimes no they don't they thank him because they did.
ReplyDeletei hate these minds,every person has his hobbies and interests no body can take a decision for another person,according to me my children will choose what they like and the major they interest in because its career for life time.
